What you need: Sturdy corrugated cardboard, paper templates, a pencil, ruler, craft knife and cutting mat, scissors, strong craft adhesive, masking tape, red, black and gold acrylic paints, brushes and lightweight wrapped gift boxes.
How to make it: Draw and cut two matching curved side panels, a floor, front and rear panels, and two runners with broad attachment tabs. Double the main pieces with another layer of cardboard, placing the corrugation in different directions for strength. Glue the body together using folded tabs and reinforce the inside joints. Attach the runners parallel beneath the floor and let the adhesive set completely. Paint the body red, runners black and edges gold, then add simple scroll details.
