What you need: Eight hot dogs, one sheet of puff pastry, one egg, a small piece of white cheese, a few black olives, a little mustard for attaching the eyes, ketchup for serving, baking parchment, a pastry brush and a pizza cutter or knife.
How to make it: Cut the pastry into narrow strips and wrap them loosely around each hot dog, leaving a small uncovered gap near the top for the face. Place them apart on a parchment-lined tray and brush the pastry with beaten egg. Bake at 190°C until the pastry is puffed and golden, about 15 to 20 minutes, following the pastry package instructions. Let them cool slightly, then attach two tiny cheese circles and black olive pupils in each face gap with a dab of mustard. Serve with ketchup
